Picture of your website on Facebook link – how is that done?

When someone adds a link to your website on Facebook, does it display a picture of your website?

Here is a quick guide – might be something you have to ask your webmaster to help you with.

1. Decide what image you want to use to represent your website – it may be a logo, an image from the website or a screenshot.

2. Crop your image to a maximum of 200px wide. Can’t find any definite rule on this anywhere. It is also better to keep it as square as possible so it is not cropped.

3. Upload the image to your website.

4. Add the following code to the header of your website :-

(presumes you’ve called your image thumbnail.jpg and you’ve uploaded it to your website’s home directory)
